Resort 26 Impression Runway Showcase

Showcased on Wednesday, the 14th of May at Barangaroo Pier Pavilion, the Resort 26 Impression Australian Fashion Week runway is a lyrical celebration of artistry and nature, inspired by the renowned painters of the Impressionist movement.

Beginning in a soft painterly palette and venturing through signature explorations of modern femininity, silhouettes come alive to capture nature in its most expansive form: light-washed denim with hand-embroidered lacework; extended lines across shoulders and corsetry; and ethereal volume enhanced with cascading layers and floating, untamed gestures.

The collection unfolds in an inverted world, transfigured by liquid formations, rolling waves and glittering lightness.

Framed by a meeting of earth, ocean and sky, linear architecture crafted from reimagined oyster shells served as the backdrop for the showcase. Nods to Australian house roots appeared in organic, textural finishes, natural quartz keepsakes and accordion seating.

A series as explorative as the earth it touches, Resort 26 is unveiled in a natural flow. Featherlight tiers wash over the body, iridescent sequins shine across hand-painted watercolour print, rhythmic folds and ridges amplify elongated corsets, falling to asymmetrical bubble hem finishes. Delicate outlines of petals mimic the buds as they burst into bloom, grounded by raw-cut finishes, textural trims and structural shoulder lines.

Accenting the collection, Resort 26 adornments glimmer in fluid, botanical formations and freshwater pearl droplets. Underscoring looks with a signature tough femininity, crumpled leathers and woven raffia trims hum alongside denims, statement gowns and modern silhouettes — introducing depth and dimension to the collection’s brightness.

A showcase of creativity: reclaimed by the elements, reminiscent of our roots. A tale of art, nature and escapism, Impression.
